So I was watching TV today or yesterday...it's all a blur...and I heard a reporter allude to the fact that a recent study proved that Calgary was more expensive than Toronto and Vancouver. They didn't mention in what sense...shopping, housing, etc. I was googling the subject to see if I could find the story - but was unsuccessful.
I did, however, find a few articles that made me chuckle. The following link is a video that took place at the stupid intersection that I have to pass through everyday. Rick Bell is my hero. Love the reference to the Drop In Centre. Did I ever mention how much I hate that place?

The one statement that he makes about finding one Calgarian that has lived here for more than 10 years that thinks Calgary is a better place is SO CORRECT. Friends and I will get together and bitch about how it's turning into something that we didn't sign up for. Sad really.
I then came across two separate articles stating that not only does Calgary have the most expensive parking in all of Canada ($375/mth), it is even higher than Paris. PARIS!
Yesterday Dan and I were driving across the city and I pointed out about 40 out of province plates. Sask, BC, Ontario were most of them. It's true that it is Thanksgiving weekend, and they may be in the city visiting, but the 2006 census stated that 35,000 people have moved here this year already. Crazy shit.
If ANYONE knows of any job openings in Vancouver...PLEASE - HOOK ME UP. If it's the same everywhere, I may as well go where the weather is best.
I need to go west and find my future baby's father (ok that last part was for my Mom, in case she's reading this, lol).
