The Tube Is Out

So the tube came out today, but they are still trying to figure out why her hemo levels keep falling, and why she keeps running a fever. Laurelle walked to and from the stretcher for a CT Scan and that just about depleted her daily energy. She had another unit of blood to raise the levels. Laurelle has always had blood issues. She is anemic and had to have a few blood transfusions when she gave birth both times. This part doesn't worry me, but the temperature thing does.

Once these things get sorted out she will feel better. Just having that tube out of her nose was a treat. Today was a bad day for me - kept getting dizzy and feeling like I was going to faint. I'm going to bed early to sleep it off. The dude with the trach-sounds wasn't helping. My stomach is so weak as it is. Big baby, I know.

I would like to know who is reading this blog - please leave a comment so that I know who is perusing it. It doesn't matter if I know you or not; I'm merely curious. If you wish to leave some well-wishes for Laurelle too, I will print them out and read them off to her when I see her tomorrow.

Night.

I'm here Merdypops, checking the updates and sending Laurelle (and you) all the good vibes I can muster.

Though, I must admit I've already made a couple of attempts to get through your Feb 16 post with no success. Will try again when my stomach is feeling stronger.

Mer- just got back from our trip last night- checked your updates- sounds like all went well which is a HUGE relief.

Laurelle still has a lot ahead of her, and I wish her all the strength she needs to get back to her old self (and then some!)

Hope you're going to get some rest- sounds like you're just beat- take car of yourself, girlfriend, or you're no good to others...

Lots of love- will be in touch-
Sonya

Please don't criticize the spelling or grammar. I am now up to date on the blog, and my thoughts are definitely with you and your family. Please tell all involved to rest up and look after themselves as Laurelle will not want sick people around her if her immune is down. Be well.

Hey Meredith,

I've been checking your updates regularly and was very happy to hear that Laurelle's surgery went well. The road to recovery won't be without some bumps, so hang in there. From the way you describe her, Laurelle sounds like a strong-willed woman and with you by her side, the healing process will be so much more manageable. Take good care of yourself.

I'll be following your posts in the hopes that Laurelle continues to get better every day. I am sending positive energy her way and keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

Love,
Tammy
